Recurring Billing
In addition to the traditional one-time charge for the purchase of a product (named ‘flat-price’ in the system’s interface), Upclick also supports a recurring billing model. By using this model, you can adjust the time interval after which you re-bill the customer for a purchase.
Recurring billing is very flexible. The merchant can define each payment amount to charge as well as the frequency in which the rebill will occur and the number of times after which the rebilling will stop. Frequency can be defined in Days, Weeks, Months or Years.
The following screen-shot shows the Recurring Price interface in the system.

A classic case for recurring is a trial version, free for a limited time. The customer will not be billed when he gets the trial version, but can be automatically billed, unless he requests to cancel. UpClick will notify automatically the customers before rebilling and after by email.
Another popular case for recurring billing is when you allow your customers to have a certain amount of equal payments. For this model, Upclick has created the ‘Installment Price’.
Choose the ‘Installment Price’ option when you define a price for your product.

For both Recurring Price option and installment price option, when the recurring billing occurs the merchant will be notified via the Notification Services and the transactions will appear on the merchant reporting. Upclick gives the customers the possibility to cancel their recurring billing through the customer self-serve portal or by calling customer support.
