Cross-Sells
The Cross-sell Offers section allows the merchant to create various secondary products which can be offered to the client during his checkout process. The idea is to promote related products and maximize the revenue per order while providing a better shopping experience to customers.
A cross-sell can be defined starting from a base product, which already contains all the attributes for the product deliverables (package, license keys, etc.). When defining the Cross-Sell Offer, the merchant can override the description for the checkout, as well as the price. The Pricing Model interface supports Tags for the discounted amount and percentage. These are calculated automatically by the system for the cross-sells using the base product price. These Tags will allow you to optimize the description with emphasis on a discount or on the original price display.
Once you define a cross-sell offer, you can choose to publish it in the Upclick Network, making it available for other merchants that will eventually be willing to promote your product as a cross-sell, i.e. add it to their carts. You can also promote other merchants’ products by building Pricing Models, hence becoming their reseller.
When you create a Cross-Sell, you must specify a payout to the merchant (reseller) that will eventually promote it. You have to define a percentage from the product value that will be paid to your potential resellers.
The advantage of using cross sells is clear: with no additional traffic costs you can get additional exposure to your products and extra revenues!
To set up Cross-Sell offers, under “My Products” section, choose “Cross-Sells” and follow the steps.
